Suppose that a) you are a mathematician and b) someone is firing a bullet toward you. Your first instinct might be to perform a geometric inversion on a sphere surrounding you but not encapsulating the bullet. This might seem like a good idea; no bullet, no death. However, you have deceived yourself. By performing a geometric inversion on this sphere, you have only left yourself with a (relatively) minute amount of oxygen available for your use. You have also left the human race behind. Change is indefinitely present. We are not.
